This is especially important if you are updating from a previous version of the ShuttlePRO Software. 1. Make sure your computer conforms to the following requirements for installation:

If you want to control additional software programs with your ShuttlePRO, you will need Application Settings for them.
This is the menu for creating or managing your Application Settings.
This menu selects which ShuttlePRO button or knob you are displaying or editing in the Control Panel. If you'd like to re-program a setting, you will select your application settings in the Target Application menu, and then select the button or dial you'd like to re-program in this menu.

ShuttlePRO OPERATING TIPS When editing audio or video, you may find it useful to operate your ShuttlePRO with one hand and your mouse with the other. You will still use your mouse to move objects and navigate through your software, and using both hands will avoid the need to switch your hands from one device to the other. You may find it helpful to label the buttons on your ShuttlePRO if you find you are using it with only a few programs. You can label the buttons using the pre-printed or blank labels included in the ShuttlePRO box; the button caps on the ShuttlePRO are easily removed with a fingernail or paperclip and will snap back in place after you place a label inside them. If you're using your ShuttlePRO on more than one computer (for example with your desktop PC and your laptop) you may find it helpful to export and install your customized settings file from one computer to the other, rather than re-creating the customized settings file on the other system. Consult your ShuttlePRO User Guide for detailed instructions on how to do this.
COMPUTER RESPONSE MENU
DO NOTHING - The ShuttlePRO button or dial is inactive. SAME AS LOWER VALUE - Selecting this lets you duplicate the commands for the previous jog or shuttle position. For example with this option you can program the Shuttle knob to perform the same command in Shuttle Zone 2 as Shuttle Zone 1. TYPE KEYSTROKE - This option lets you program a keyboard shortcut to a ShuttlePRO button or dial, such as "Control-S" for save, the right arrow key to advance 1 frame, or "Control-C" to copy a selection to the keyboard. Consult the User's Guide or Help menu to find the keyboard shortcuts for your software program. PRESS MODIFIER - This command lets you activate a keyboard modifier key (such as the control, alt, windows, shift, application key or caps lock key) with a ShuttlePRO button. SCROLL FUNCTIONS - This lets you assign scrolling functions and directions to a ShuttlePRO button or dial.
